Summer Zoom Comedy Classes for Kids Starts July 11

Keep your kids busy this summer with one of the best activities for summer fun - virtual comedy classes for kids on Zoom. Kids ages 10-16 have lots of time on their hands, so imagine letting your child's creative energy be redirected to learning skills that help develop personal and intellectual development, like humor and comedy. Kids in our classes sharpen their wit, writing skills, build character and confidence, and learn public speaking skills in a fun way.
The program ends with a real-stage performance in conjunction with other performing artists outside the Southampton Cultural Center's venue at the end of the summer program. Date and time will be announced.

Register for 10 Comedy Classes for Kids
This Special Program is in association with Southampton Cultural Center
We offer small classes of 20 kids. If there are more than 20 students on any given class, we will split the class. Each student of comedy will be given instructor feedback and assisted in improving their material. This program is specifically designed for kids ages 10-16. The instructor will be joined by working comics to give their feedback in several of the classes. By the end of the program, you will benefit from and learn the following and featured on a real stage at a local or regional venue upon graduation.
- Confidence Building / Stage Presence
- Character Building
- Understanding comedy foundations and writing skills
- Joke Formulas, tags, transitions, callbacks, act-outs
- Microphone techniques
- Developing a comedic persona
- Addressing the crowd
- Impromptu speaking skills; quit wit; think on your feet
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
- Portable PA Speaker System, with handheld microphone (Archeer~$50)
- Microphone Stand - Universal Mic Mount with Heavy Compact Base, Height Adjustable (~ $20)
Save money and buy the full package of 10 classes (1-2 classes/week)
Purchase at least 60 minutes prior to the first class. If you miss any classes, there is no refund, but you will be credited for classes you miss in the next round.
Next Round of Classes begin on Wednesday, July 15 at 1pm.
